There is going to be some big changes this year and most of them will improve the level of play.
First, all game will be 1.25 hours with 3-15 minute periods, however in order to obtain this we have now introduced hurry up face-offs, and no red line (defensive blue line will be used for icings). Number games are 25-30 depending on division plus playoffs and potential all-star game. Your fees include, ice rental, refs, timekeepers, stat tracking on bvrahl.com, player insurance, and trophies.
Update!
We are in need of players in all divisions! please contact us for more information!
We are still accepting teams in all divisions!
Season will begin week of September 13th!
Please feel free to contact me should you require any further information.
At a stoppage of play, the official who will be dropping the puck will go to the face off location and begin counting 5 seconds. During these first 5 seconds the visiting team can change their lines. After the first 5 seconds the official's arm goes up signalling the visiting team is done and the home team has 5 more seconds to change their lines. At the end of the second 5 seconds the official's arm comes down and he blows his whistle and within 5 more seconds the puck will hit the ice - regardless of where players are. If, when the puck hits the ice, there are players who are offside, the whistle is blown immediately and the offending team is issued a warning. The face off then goes again, as long as all players are on side when the puck hits the ice
(regardless if there is a center man at the dot) play shall continue.
Second offence results in bench minor penalty for delay of game.
